What striker do you want to see West Ham sign in the summer?
I would like to see West Ham table a 40 million bid to secure the services of the Genoa striker Albert Guðmundsson

A complete striker, very technical and a set piece specalist

Over to you...

Albert Guðmundsson? We'll probably end up with Albert Steptoe and he's been dead for yonks.

You dirty old man.

Re: What striker do you want to see West Ham sign in the summer?
As TM has said, it all depends on who's manager.

If Moyes stays I wouldn't be buying anyone, and I would look to offload as many of the players he doesn't play as possible, leaving a 14 man squad he's so happy with.

I certainly wouldn't be looking to buy another striker for him to ruin.

Re: What striker do you want to see West Ham sign in the summer?
Depends on who the manager is. If we have one that can actually use a striker would be different than if we keep moyes

Different managers employ different styles that utilise different players.

Moyes only likes bulldozers up front. Ie antonio or someone very much like antonio. We've seen he can't use people like ings, scamacca, heller etx

I'd just let Tim Steidten find a gem for about 20m.

No point though if Moyes is still in post as he won't pick him or play to his strengths.

Certainly no point in paying over the odds for anyone already in the PL... you would be looking at well over £50m for anyone half decent... hopefully we are looking abroad for better value.

Re: What striker do you want to see West Ham sign in the summer?
I can see why you'd want a compatriot in Gudmundsson, but I think I'd prefer us to buy an actual centre forward, not yet another converted winger. Since he's played up front it's been as a second striker in a 352, so not sure how he'd be as a lone striker.

In any case, as others have said, it all depends on who the manager is next season and what formation/tactics he wants to employ. Hopefully they'll get a new one in quickly so they can get some deals done early in the window for a change.

Re: What striker do you want to see West Ham sign in the summer?
I believe he could flourish upfront on his own with 2 Quick wingers on either side with Paqueta behind

Bút youve got á point, he ís used to playing in á front 2 both with Genoa and Iceland . Bút Moyes did appearantly make á bíl fór him in january

Re: What striker do you want to see West Ham sign in the summer?
One who can run the channels and knows where the back of the net is would be ideal.

The complete opposite of Scammacca and Haller and Ings.

Someone who plays a similar game as Marcus Rashford for example.

Re: What striker do you want to see West Ham sign in the summer?
Gykores who we should have taken a punt on last Summer.

In general, I want to see us sign a Darwin Nunez type...strong and direct and pacey.

In fact, given Darwin hasn't ripped it up at Liverpool, maybe we could be gettable if the new manager fancies someone different.

Luis Openda would be an interesting one but not sure if we can compete for a player of his rising stature. Maybe Demirovic of Augsburg.

Otherwise as said, let Steidten

Re: What striker do you want to see West Ham sign in the summer?
Barty, if Moyes wanted Gudmundsson in January then I expect it was for him to mainly play on the left and to just be a back up for Antonio/Bowen up front. Moyes loves a player who can play multiple positions, and if they can't he forces them to anyway!

Re: What striker do you want to see West Ham sign in the summer?
What several already have said. There are plenty options around, but the most important thing is to get a new manager in asap.

You know what happens if Moyes stays, Antonio will be plan A and B and C

Re: What striker do you want to see West Ham sign in the summer?
Nutsack are you trying to look like a know nothing cunt on every thread?

A player that can run the channels like Rashford ... you mean like Bowen and Kudus... no based on current set up we need a big strong physical attacker that knows where the back of the net is and that can hold the ball up while waiting for Bowen and Kudus to support and not someone thats going to run into their space.

If Moyes is not here then who knows what we'll need ... It may be a wait and see who's boss before selecting the type of striker we need.
